The Website move has completed successfully.

All functions are working as expected however downloaded Ebooks need to be reloaded.  This will be done shortly.

Also, the forum is currently disabled as we will be looking to change this.  More on this shortly.

The Goshin Kan Karate website will be moved from it's current location to a new hosting provider sometime this long weekend.  Apologies for any downtime while this occurs.

For the most part, there should be no apparent outage, however at some point I will point the "www.goshinkankarate.com" domain from our old location to the new location.

Working with Children Check

Every sporting and recreation organisation that works with children and young people has an obligation to provide a safe environment for them.

In July 2000 legislation was introduced in NSW that affects all people working with children. This legislation is the Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998.

The Working With Children Check has been created under this legislation to help determine whether a person is suitable to work with children. It helps to ensure, as far as possible, that people who may pose a risk to children are not employed in roles where they have direct, unsupervised contact with children.

For more information you can visit the NSW Working with Children website: http://www.kids.nsw.gov.au/ or https://check.kids.nsw.gov.au/

If you are a teacher or a blackbelt student then please complete the following forms from the website:

  1. Application - Declaration and consent for the check (link)
  2. Employer - check and applicant (link)

You can complete the above two forms, print and sign them before handing them to either Kancho or one of the teachers.
